Intermag is one of the major conferences in magnetism and this year it was held at Dresden, Germany on 4-8th May. This year is also the 50th anniversary of the IEEE Magnetics Society, who organise and run Intermag.

Highlights of our current work were presented by Dr Tom Hayward on "Using Virtual Domain Walls to suppress Stochastic Pinning/Depinning Phenomena in Magnetic Nanowire Devices" and Dr Nicola Morley on the "Development of magnetostrictive films for MEMS sensors" and "Exploring the organic-magnetic interface for spintronic applications". Dr Matt Hodges, Dr Nicola Morley and Miss Ruth Bradley also presented posters of their work.
